The Cyclops set out from Brazil loaded up with brittle metal, stopped to resupply in Barbados, but would never reach its destination, Baltimore. The ship’s final message was “Fair Weather, All Well”. |

This would be the end of the USS Cyclops. She vanished without sending out a stress signal. No debris was ever found, none of the 306 bodies were ever recovered, we will never know how or why it sunk. |
