Level Description
1 Bonjour! You are also preparing for the Route du Rhum, right? I am Florence and I will be your biggest competition in the race. On the water, I am like a fish in the sea.
2 I can be pretty competitive but we can still be friends. Since you are docking your yacht next to mine, we will be seeing more of each other before the race begins.
3 Actually, I could use a hand with fixing this mechanism on my yacht. I am a great sailor but not such a good mechanic. I will be in your debt.
4 Sailing single-handedly across the Atlantic is quite the challenge. Have you already taken part in such a race? You seem to me more like a cargo ship captain, no offense meant.
5 I have been getting ready for the Route du Rhum since the last race four years ago. I have no problem sailing alone. I can get along well with a crew but this is how I prefer it.
6 I have been concentrating on competitive sailing my whole life. But you have a pretty impressive resume yourself. I should keep an eye on you. Still, I wouldn’t make any bets against me.
7 So how is your yacht? Any last touch-ups needed? I have just installed new sails on my girl. She is ready to fly with the wind. You might want to get new sails too, it really makes a difference.
8 I am done here. I will get some light dinner and then go to bed. I have to be rested for the race tomorrow. If you fancy, you can join me for a meal at the nearby bar.

10 I won! This is so great! I believe in myself but there are always doubts, it’s normal. But it’s the greatest feeling when you achieve your dreams. Come and join me at the party.
11 Many people thought that for a woman it would be impossible to win a single-handed race. Women can be good sailors too. Remember that when picking new members of your crew.
12 I didn’t just win the race but I also set a new record for the single-handed crossing of the Atlantic. It took me 9 days and 21 hours and I hope to break that record in the future too.
13 With the money I won, I plan to build a house in Marseilles. I know you are good with shipping materials. Care to help me out? I will make it worth your while.
14 I am all for sailing solely propelled by the wind. But I have been stuck a few times at sea with no wind. I am considering buying a yacht with an auxiliary engine. Will you give me a few tips?
15 I won’t be using this motor yacht on the races but for pleasure sailing it’s perfect. It’s a bit older but if we fix her up, she will serve me for many years yet.

17 The round the world race is not single-handed. So you can join my crew if you are interested. I still have space for skilled sailors.

21 While we are away on the race, the construction of my house will continue. I have hired a reliable company to take care of it. But we have to deliver all the necessary materials.
22 Don’t forget to deliver the cement for the construction of my house too. I’ve received a message the workers used up all the supplies already. They're proceeding much faster than expected.
23 Such a long voyage will take superb skills in navigation and weather forecast. Don’t worry, I am possessing both of those skills. Let’s just make sure we have all the equipment.

29 Crossing the Pacific is the hardest part of this voyage. One day, I will do a single-handed crossing of the Pacific too. But for now, let’s make sure we don’t hit any hidden rocks here.

35 This new sink will go perfectly with the walnut cupboard I chose earlier. I was never a great cook but with a kitchen like this, I might just get the motivation to try harder.
